In this first part of our new series on how to unlock success in digital transformation, Bram recalls his own journey, introduces MES and gives an outlook to the parts to come.
Great to hear that Gregory. I'd love to hear more about your story and experience. I am now also embarking on a brand new journey and it's exciting to see the differences while I also notice a lot of similar challenges. What are the first things you are currently focusing on? I wish you in any case good luck with your journey.
From entering an unknown company, to understanding its maturity and trying to formulate the most cost efficient digitalization strategy to drive a real step change. Not an easy task..
Digitalization, I learned, is not about technology itself as it will not be the bottleneck in these exciting innovating times. Process and people/organization should be focus prio 1. Getting the requirements and added value for the end user right, that comes with the real challenges 😀 Creating a business case for an "enabler", that not will deliver immediate tangible ROI. And not to forget stakeholder management, including the typical clash between OT and IT. It is a glimpse on the work as an OT manager 🤓 extremely exciting..
Great Bram 👍 I'm currently sort of in the same (beginning) situation and journey. Looking forward to your next blog posts.

Thank you Bram. I'm in the beginning of the digital transformation journey of a steel making company and your experience is so helpful for me.
